OPENING RESTRUCTURE
  • Combined all Rex material and childhood scenes into a single opening montage. Rescored.
  • Added the text “Eight Years Ago” during the montage.
  • Added “Present Day” when the film transitions to adult Speed.
  • The title card now appears after the first race.
THUNDERHEAD & EARLY FLASHBACKS
  • Removed the original Rex flashback from Thunderhead.
  • Removed Spritle and Chim Chim's binocular moment.
  • Removed Trixie’s childhood flashback.
  • Removed the shot of Racer X predicting Speed’s future.
BREAKFAST & ROYALTON INTRODUCTION
  • Removed Spritle and Chim Chim "fight" and Spritle answering the phone.
  • The scene now begins with Sparky reading the newspaper the next day.
  • Cut the German lines from E.P. Royalton about “pancakes are love,” kept the English line.
  • Removed E.P. Royalton guessing ingredients and trying to buy the recipe.
  • Removed E.P. Royalton’s “meet my family” invitation.

PLANE RIDE & ROYALTON TOUR
  • Removed Spritle’s candy 'choir gag' on the plane.

TOGOKAHN & MAFIA SEQUENCE

SPEED & TRIXIE SCENE
  • Rescored the car conversation with Tokyo Nights by Digital Farm Animals (instrumental emphasis).
  • Replaced Speed’s kiss-setup line with a new line that closes the scene cleanly.
  • No Spritle interruption.
ROYALTON MONOLOGUE
  • Removed all history lessons and fixed race exposition.
  • Removed every reference to Burns, Dugazi, and the ‘43 Prix.
  • Kept only Royalton’s Iodyne engine worldview.
  • Removed Spritle/Chim Chim candy escapades in the tower.
  • Removed Royalton’s litigation speech and Speed confronting Burns.
  • Removed the entire Spritle-caught-by-guards section.
  • After the Racers are served, scene cuts directly to next morning with Sparky reading the news.
MOM & SPEED SCENE
  • Removed Speed ripping Burn's poster.
  • Rescored Mom/Speed scene with Promises (Nils Frahm Rework) by The Presets (slowed + reverb).
  • Removed the full Speed/Rex flashback. Kept only a shot of Rex’s embarrassed reaction.
INSPECTOR DETECTOR & RACER X VISIT
  • Removed Spritle opening the door and the Harbinger chaos.
  • Now Pops opens the door instead.
  • Retained Racer X’s quiet “This is a bad idea” line.
  • Mach 5 upgrades briefing & Casa Cristo Race
  • Trimmed Inspector Detector’s rundown.
  • Kept the mention that modifications were done.
  • Removed the visual demo of each upgrade to avoid early spoilers.
  • Removed Snake Oiler’s sidebar about being promised wins and whining.
  • Trimmed part of the Speed vs. headhunters scene where they play with a blade and a shield.
  • Removed Speed saying, “This race is full of cheaters" and "has no one read the rule book?” He should already know that. This is Casa Cristo.
CASA CRISTO 2ND LEG
  • When Speed tells Racer X about how they made a good team replaced Racer X’s response with something more still and revealing.
  • Removed the entire ninja fight scene.
  • Now it transitions from Togokahn being poisoned to all of them converging.
  • Removed all the comical fight scene during the rendezvous when Trixie and Togokahn switch spots.
  • Removed Trixie asking Sparky if the cave was where Rex died.
POST CASA CRISTO RACE CHANGES
  • Removed Sparky’s “So the whole race was for nothing.”
  • Rescored Speed and Racer X’s Thunderhead scene with Solar Sailer by Daft Punk (slowed and reverbed).
  • Rescored Pops/Speed scene with Mercury from Sunshine OST (slowed and reverbed).
  • Removed Speed telling Pops the Burns race was fixed (since no fixed races are mentioned).
  • Removed Pops saying to Speed “What do you think of that, Mr. It’s always fixed?”
GRAND PRIX PREP & MID RACE ADDITIONS
  • Removed the announcer line asking the makeup artist if she was there the year before.
  • Rescored Speed’s entrance with Sirius by The Alan Parsons Project (slowed and reverb)
  • Removed the part where EP is tells his driver to take Speed out.
  • Removed Speed's trek through the locker room.
  • The race remains as is.
  • Added Rex Racer ADR “Racing is in our blood, Speed!” line during Speed’s final racing montage.
  • Rescored the Racer X reveal of Rex Racer scene.
  • Added explosion sfx as Rex blows up his car during flashback.
  • Removed Spritle interrupting the kiss.
END CREDITS
  • Replaced end credits with new footage and credits.
  • Scored with Days of Thunder by The Midnight.
