Speed Racer: Mach 6
Built for Speed
Synopsis
A story about legacy and the weight of a brother’s influence. With less of Spritle’s chaos and the world around Royalton tightened. Mach 6 sharpens the story of Speed without losing the soul that holds the Racer family together. By bringing those memories together and pulling back some of the surrounding distractions, I wanted Speed’s story to feel more personal.
Editor's Note
Speed Racer was a film I loved as a kid for its colors and chaos, but revisiting it as an adult made me appreciate how much heart was always underneath it. At its core, it is a story about family, legacy, and understanding why you keep moving forward. With Mach 6, I wanted to bring that emotional foundation closer to the surface, centering Speed’s journey around Rex and the influence his brother left behind.
